Today's stop on Jaimie Adams's VBT# is The Phantom Paragrapher with a review of her book "Not Pretty Enough".

Review: Not Pretty Enough - Jaimie Adams - August 2013

Are you wanting a nice clean teen novel ? Something that relates to an experience we have all gone through ? In Not Pretty Enough, we meet Chessie - she is in love with Lloyd Layton and has made it her New Years Resolution to get him to fall in love with or at least notice her and be her boyfriend. The thing though is that Chessie doesn't think that she is pretty enough and she also is a bit of a klutz and does everything to the extreme as we read all about her adventures to make Lloyd Layton notice her from her hair-dying escapades to stabbing his foot with a javelin pole to even going as far to stalk him - all in the name of love. However, when he does notice her , will her expectations be met or will she discover what Lloyd's true colours really are ? Has she wasted her whole year getting Lloyd's attention or will it pay off ? One thing readers, is that this book is definitely written for a teen audience and at times may frustrate you and you may think "really Chessie, is he worth all this trouble and aren't you just a little bit desperate for his love and attention".
So readers, if you are looking for a Clean Teen Novel and have ever been on the side of the fence and willing to do absolutely everything to gain your crush's attention, then this book is for you.
